Pakistan Gems Jewellery Traders and Exporters Association have historically played a crucial role in highlighting and resolving the problems faced by this sector. Over the years this representative body of one of the important business sectors of our country has evolved into a dynamic organization geared to play its due role in the development of Gem and Jewellery sector in a highly competitive international business environment.
Pakistan is blessed with tremendous mineral resources of some of unique gemstones in the world and our craftsmanship is second to none in the world. However, we need patronage and support of the government to address some longstanding issues in the regulatory framework. We have already taken up the same with the relevant government authorities and would like to assure our members that we will continue to strive to attain the requisite facilities for the development of this sector.
We are playing an active role in presenting problems of trade, industry and environment and safeguarding the interests of the sector through constant dialogue with the Government. A lot has been planned and a lot of it executed, we like to create examples from our work. We are expanding and will continue to do so, we continue to add new members to our Association and we continue to improve our industry. The members are requested to share with us any problems faced by them and to also forward their suggestions to further improve their work environment.
